IMPORTANT INFORMATION |
Notice Required A Notice of Intended Marriage Form must be lodged within 18 months and not less than one calender month from the date the marriage is due to take place. You may obtain the form from your chosen celebrant or download it here (PDF file) and present the completed form to the celebrant
Documents Required 1. For a person born in Australia - a Birth Extract or a birth Certificate. 2. For a person born overseas - a Birth Certificate or a passport issued by a government of an overseas country, showing the date and place of the person's birth will be acceptable. 3. If previously married and divorced - a Decree Absolute of Divorce. 4. If previously married and widowed - a Death Certificate. NOTE: Uncertified photocopies of documents are not nacceptable.
Legal Age Both parties must be over 18 years of age, unless special dispensation is gained from a judge or magistrate.
Witnesses The law requires that 2 witnesses aged 18 years or over must be present at a marriage.
Fees After we have agreed on the all inclusive fee, I shall require a non-refundable deposit of $150.00. The balance shall be payable a week prior to the wedding date.

Making a Booking You should book your celebrant as soon as you set a date for your wedding. Once this is done we can arrange to complete the necessary paperwork and provide you with a ceremony guide with a selection of vows, readings and sample ceremonoes to help you with your ideas. |
